SCG 3D Concrete Printing a Building

Siam Cement Group (SCG) is one of the largest cement companies in South East Asia. In late 2020, SCG 3D printed a 102 square metre building in Thailand using CNC Design's VSF Onsite printer.

The VSF Concrete Onsite printer is designed to be easily relocatable while retaining high speed and precision for printing. This allowed SCG to print the intricate textured wall surface seen in above image. Using conventional methods would have required complex moulds and formwork to make this design. Additionally, the construction of the wall took around 5 days and required 5 operators, which is a significant saving in time and labour.
